It might take more pulling than is healthy at one attempt. You could also pull the muffler and prime straight into the cylinder.To set the low speed, set the low speed screw at 1 turn. Start the saw and warm it up. Set idle screw so it idles. If it bogs down when you hit the throttle, richen it up (counter clock wise). Let it idle for 20 seconds and tip the saw forward. Open port and closed port.The ones that aren't in cases are usually stored upright unless they fit better on their side on the shelves. Don't think it makes any difference at all to the saw. My experience was on a 16" bar 3hp saw worked great. Not as hard as a Stihl chain but trade off is easy sharpening. On a 24" bar with a 4+hp saw they don't hold up real well in the tough cutting. Trying to replace the chain on a Stihl 011AV that my Brother bought used - replacement chain is a Oregon S55 AdvanceCut. Am using the Stihl 011 owners manual PDF for guidance but the chain appears to be too short to fit on over the bar tip when engaged with the drive sprocket. Anyways, its a Model 358.350810, 40cc saw. Can anyone tell me the idle and MAX rpms for this saw, so I can give it chance of running right. Those Echo CS-450 saws are not light weights. I gave them honest evaluations with a scale that was calibrated with check weights. Usually, they weigh in between 11.47 and 11.53 pounds.
